Know and spread

From an early age in our hindu families our parents and grand parents have told and scolded us for doing and not doing different works and rituals in the correct way.
Many of us don't know the reasons behind these rituals and cultures and start mocking and calling it as superstition. This gives some wierd one's the opportunity to defame our religion and our practices.

Hence the aim of this blog is to wake up the peoples of our Dharma. And protect it from being defamed.
Whether it be any hardcore leftist or non beleiver of religion just show them this blog and it may change their mind and views.Because our Sanatan Dharma is a scientific and planned way of living and each rituals and culture has a strong scientific reason behind it which is being practiced from thousands of years by our experienced and gyaani rishi's and saints.

Reason behind throwing coin in water

From childhood,we have seen that whenever we pass over/by a river or any water body our parents used to tell us to make some wish and throw coins in the water. In childhood it was fun but as we grow and made ourselves educated we found this practice superstition and started defaming our own religion by saying it unscientifical, without trying to know the actual/scientific reason behind it.

So, let me tell you all about the scientific reason behind throwing coins in the water bodies:-
In ancient times, most of the currency was made of copper, unlike the stainless steel coins of today. Now, copper is a vital metal for human body as it helps in metabolism, and we all know that our body cannot synthesize copper. Hence the supply for absorption must come from outside.
Ponds and rivers were the only sources of drinking water in ancient times.
Also, copper helped settle the dust particles to the bottom of water, thereby making drinking water available on top. In those times water purifiers were not present and by doing this practice river were clean.
Copper is an essential trace mineral necessary for survival. It is found in all body tissues and plays a role in making red blood cells and maintaining nerve cells and the immune system.
It also helps the body form collagen and absorb iron, and plays a role in energy production.

Also, many of us have heard from our grandparents that drinking water stored in a copper vessel is beneficial for our health. According to Ayurveda, water stored in a copper vessel has the ability to balance all the three doshas in your body, (vata, kapha and pitta) and it does so by positively charging the water. Storing water in a copper vessel works as a purification process. It can kill all the microorganisms like molds, fungi, algae and bacteria, present in the water that could be harmful for the body. It also helps maintain body’s pH (acid-alkaline) balance. There are also numerous health benefits that have been attributed to drinking water stored in copper bottles.
Science has now proved that copper-rich foods boost collagen. Therefore, this metal offers advantages for the skin too. If you are a kapha type (prone to weight gain, coughs and congestion), then this is the best for you. Copper is related to sun and fire, therefore it helps increase agni in the body.So indirectly, it will also increase metabolic rate. It detoxifies the body, helps increase haemoglobin, improves the secretion of bile and the peristaltic movements of the gut to aid digestion as well.

Most copper in the body is found in the liver, brain, heart, kidneys, and skeletal muscle.
Though deficiency is rare, but it can lead to cardiovascular disease and other problems like it can affect how the brain works. Impairments have been linked to Menkes, Wilson's, and Alzheimer's disease.

Therefore, throwing coins in the river was one way our fore-fathers ensured we intake sufficient copper as part of the water as rivers were the only source of drinking water. Making it a custom ensured that all of us follow the practice.

So let's think properly from the point of view of our ancestors before we Judge our traditions!

Distance between earth and sun

According to the latest report given by NASA,the distance between earth and sun is 149,600,000 kilometers (km) or 92,900,000 miles. But you all will be thinking that what does it relate to our religion or this blog.
It not only relates but is also a matter of pride of our Sanatan Dharma that how much advanced is our religion.
At the time when the whole world did'nt even know to survive,we were so developed in every field of life that we calculated the distance between sun and earth.

The proof of the above observation can be found in one line of Hanuman Chalisa  which was written by tulsidas many hundred years ago. Those lines are-
जुग (युग) सहस्त्र जोजन (योजन) पर भानु।
लील्यो ताहि मधुर फल जानू।।
Meaning- Hanumanji went to the sun(Bhanu) situated at a distance of Yug Sahastra Yojan and ate the sun considering it as a sweet fruit.

Now i will give you the calculations behind the above sanskrit text:-
🌀 According to Hindu Mythology-
🔸 1 Yug = 12000 years
🔸 1 Sahastra = 1000
🔸 1 Yojan = 8 Miles
🌀 Yug x Sahastra x Yojan = par Bhanu
🌀 12000 x 1000 x 8 miles = 96,000,000 miles
🌀 1 mile = 1.6kms
🌀 96,000,000 miles x 1.6kms = 1,536,000,000 kms / 96,000,000 miles to Sun

The above distance is approximately equal to the one calculated by NASA.

So be proud to be born in such a religion, and learn more and more about our Sanatan Dharma.

Science and Significance Of Direction of Sleep As Per Sanatan Dharma

Hindu Practice

Science and Significance Of Direction of Sleep As Per Hindu Dharma
From an early age in our hindu families our parents and grand parents have told and scolded us for sleeping in wrong direction. At starting  you may have wondered why such rules and regulations while sleeping also. But in our Sanatan Dharma each and every rules and rituals is scientific. And hence the sleeping directions also play a vital role in our sleep, health and our lives.
Let's see how-
According to Hindu dharma, our sleeping position and direction define the state of sleep. It has expanded the spiritual science behind the direction of sleep and its effects.

Human beings reflect the planet earth in having a north pole and a south pole, and the alignment of our body while sleeping matters because the flow of energy through the earth affects our own magnetic field. Because of the planet’s magnetic field, sleeping in certain directions causes unnecessary pressure on the brain which may lead to disturbed sleep and health issues. Hindu Dharma best describes we should sleep in the east-west direction.
East-West Direction: Sleeping with head in east increases memory, concentration, good health and inclination towards spirituality. The east-west position is considered best for healthy and sound sleep. The waves in this direction are positive and can provide positive energy to the body.
North-South Direction: Sleeping with head in North is a totally wrong practice. This is a position where dead bodies are placed. While you sleep with your head in the north direction, you get bad dreams and stress in your body. The Earth’s magnetic pull will strain your brain in that direction. It is also believed that north direction is a route that a soul takes after leaving the body.

In Hindu Dharma, it is believed that the movement of the chakras present in our body takes place in the pertinent sleeping direction and when we have a proper sleep. There are positive vibrations present in the east direction which makes the chakras in the body rotate in the appropriate direction instead of conflicting directions. So, placing your head towards east direction helps to facilitate positive vibrations which arise from the east to Sapta-Chakras (Seven chakras) in the body. This appropriate direction will not allow Raja particles generated in the body to cause any distress to the individual.
Apart from these, individuals will also have benefits from the wave of Action of God associated with the east-west direction. With this Sattvik waves of actions are transferred into the body which facilitates the movement of the Pancha-pranas (five vital energies) situated at the navel region. By the support of Upa-pranas (subordinate vital energies), these Pancha-Pranas discharges the subtle-waste gases from the body. As a result, the Prana-deha (vital body) and Pranamayakosha (vital energy sheath) of the individual get purified.
The atmosphere around us is portrayed by several frequencies and energies of the universe. Their flow prevails over certain directions. If our bodies have to align themselves with their flow present in the universe, it is most likely that our bodies too come under their influence. One such negative frequency flows towards the hell which is considered as the Patala region.
The other kind of negative frequency is called as Tiryak. The word Tiryak means oblique. Such oblique frequencies can cause distress in the individual. Since these frequencies move southwards, the south direction is owed with negative frequencies. So, it is advised not to sleep with the foot facing the south.
The southern direction is believed to be connected with the region of death (Yamalok). When we sleep with the head facing north and the feet face the south, vibrations coming from the region of hell and the region of death join together. Hence, there is a high chance of suffering from their combined effects which results in various kinds of sleep disorders including nightmares, waking up in fear, etc.
So, maintaining your direction of sleep is highly essential in order to avoid sleep disorders and have a good night sleep.
And now whenever someone asks or mocks our rules and rituals just show them that our Sanatan Dharma is nothing but a way of living and science itself.

Importance of Temples in Sanatan Dharma -Scientifically and spiritually

WHY TO VISIT TEMPLES ?
(Scientific Reason)
There are thousands of temples all over India in different size, shape and locations but not all of them are considered to be built the Vedic way. Generally, a temple should be located at a place where earth's magnetic wave path passes through densely. It can be in the outskirts of a town/village or city, or in middle of the dwelling place, or on a hilltop. The essence of visiting a temple is discussed here.
Now, these temples are located strategically at a place where the positive energy is abundantly available from the magnetic and electric wave distributions of north/south pole thrust. The main idol is placed in the core center of the temple, known as "*Garbhagriha*" or *Moolasthanam*. In fact, the temple structure is built after the idol has been placed. This *Moolasthanam* is where earth’s magnetic waves are found to be maximum. We know that there are some copper plates, inscribed with Vedic scripts, buried beneath the Main Idol. What are they really? No, they are not God’s / priests’ flash cards when they forget the *shlokas*. The copper plate absorbs earth’s magnetic waves and radiates it to the surroundings. Thus a person regularly visiting a temple and walking clockwise around the Main Idol receives the beamed magnetic waves and his body absorbs it. This is a very slow process and a regular visit will let him absorb more of this positive energy. Scientifically, it is the positive energy that we all require to have a healthy life.
Further, the Sanctum is closed on three sides. This increases the effect of all energies. The lamp that is lit radiates heat energy and also provides light inside the sanctum to the priests or *poojaris* performing the pooja. The ringing of the bells and the chanting of prayers takes a worshipper into trance, thus not letting his mind waver. When done in groups, this helps people forget personal problems for a while and relieve their stress. The fragrance from the flowers, the burning of camphor give out the chemical energy further aiding in a different good aura. The effect of all these energies is supplemented by the positive energy from the idol, the copper plates and utensils in the *Moolasthan*am / *Garbagraham*. *Theertham*, the “holy” water used during the pooja to wash the idol is not
plain water cleaning the dust off an idol. It is a concoction of Cardamom,*Karpura* (Benzoin), zaffron / saffron, *Tulsi* (Holy Basil), Clove, etc...Washing the idol is to charge the water with the magnetic radiations thus increasing its medicinal values. Three spoons of this holy water is distributed to devotees. Again, this water is mainly a source of magneto-therapy. Besides, the clove essence protects one from tooth decay, the saffron & *Tulsi* leafs protects one from common cold and cough, cardamom and *Pachha Karpuram* (benzoin), act as mouth fresheners. It is proved that *Theertham* is a very good blood purifier, as it is highly energized. Hence it is given as *prasadam* to the devotees. This way, one can claim to remain healthy by regularly visiting the Temples. This is why our elders used to suggest us to offer prayers at the temple so that you will be cured of many ailments. They were not always superstitious. Yes, in a few cases they did go overboard when due to ignorance they hoped many serious diseases could be cured at temples by deities. When people go to a temple for the *Deepaaraadhana*, and when the doors open up, the positive energy gushes out onto the persons who are there. The water that is sprinkled onto the assemblages passes on the energy to all. This also explains why men are not allowed to wear shirts at a few temples and women are requested to wear more ornaments during temple visits. It is through these jewels (metal) that positive energy is absorbed by the women. Also, it is a practice to leave newly purchased jewels at an idol’s feet and then wear them with the idol’s blessings. This act is now justified after reading this article. This act of “seeking divine blessings” before using any new article, like books or pens or automobiles may have stemmed from this through mere observation.
Energy lost in a day’s work is regained through a temple visit and one is refreshed slightly. The positive energy that is spread out in the entire temple and especially around where the main idol is placed, are simply absorbed by one's body and mind. Did you know, every Vaishnava(Vishnu devotees), “must” visit a Vishnu temple twice every day in their location. Our practices are NOT some hard and fast rules framed by 1 man and his followers or God’s words in somebody’s dreams. All the rituals, all the practices are, in reality, well researched, studied and scientifically backed thesis which form the ways of nature to lead a good healthy life.
The scientific and research part of the practices are well camouflaged as “elder’s instructions” or “granny’s teaching’s” which should be obeyed as a mark of respect so as to once again, avoid stress to the mediocre brains.
